Earlier this year there was a rumour that Apple will come up with Dual Sim technology for their upcoming mobile phones. As per the image posted on China Mobile’s Facebook page, Apple may announce the dual SIM card support on September 12 th. As the reports suggested, there will be a launch of three new models in the market. The reports hinted Apple might come up with an iPhone X successor with a 5.8-inch OLED display, a large 6.5-inch OLED model (iPhone Xs Plus), and a cheaper 6.1-inch LCD variant (iPhone Xc).
The above image is the replica of an Apple with dual SIM cards poking into it. Reports suggest that the end of 2018 will release at least one variant with support for two SIM cards. If the reports indicate true, this would be the first instance in the iPhone decade-long history. However, it’s unclear as of now, whether the dual-SIM variant will make its way out of China or not, but previous reports pointed out that it would be only for China market. We shall have to wait till the end of this year, to know which variant of iPhone will get the dual SIM technology.
In comparison with the latest models, iPhone Xs and iPhone Xs Plus are going to be ultra-premium Phones with a body made of stainless steel and glass. They are likely to come up with AMOLED screens with an A12 processor. Both phones may come up with dual camera setup on the back.
Reports suggested that the latest models may be priced at quite a premium in the Chinese market. The iPhone Xc is expected to start at CNY 5,888, the iPhone Xs at CNY 7,388 and iPhone Xs Plus at CNY 8,388.
